
The academy staff union of university has suspended the eight months strike as federal government cancel ” no work no pay policy”.
Students are clamoring around the country as ASUU finally had an agreement with the federal government over the prolonged strike which was cause based on the disagreement between the academy staff union of university and the federal government on the 13th of February 2022.
The strike which lasted for 8 months has made many students around the country wondering if the federal government ever care about the educational systems in the country, students has protest but still to no avail
While some students has given up saying university will not resume till further notice because of the rumour around the country
Most state university has pull out from ASUU as it has been seen that the union is not in the mood for settlement with the federal government any time soon.
Hopefully on the 18th of October the academy staff union of university ASUU has announced on it Twitter handle that the 8 months prolonged strike has been called off as the federal government has agreed to cancel the “no work no pay policy”, which all salaries for those months are expected to be paid in due time.
This has bring joy and happiness all over the country as students are expected to resume as soon as possible in most of the higher learning, while others are expected to follow up with the resumption date in due time with immediate effect from the academy staff union of university as soon as possible.
